Notably darker with more kink than the first in the series, The Dark One delivers on spice and smut. If you like
praise, degradation, RH, bondage, voyeurism, or predator/prey,
this book covers you with at least one scene that focuses on one or more of these kinky themes.

The plot, though clear and fairly interspersed (unlike a lot of dark/erotic romance) felt, to me, a bit thin.

But really, if you're coming here for the plot then you're probably the only one doing so lol

I am not personally a fan of extreme violence with my smut scenes. If the MC actually begins fearing for their life, I stop believing that they're enjoying themselves, which happened a couple times in this book. If that's a thing you're into, though, I'm sure you'd rate this higher!
