OK So let me start off with the cheating cause I know this was a huge stumbling block for a lot of readers & I know it put me off reading this for ages.

I think the main reason it didn't bother me was because neither relationship seemed totally invested and
Spoilerboth of the H's called off their respective relationships before they started up with each other.....except for one kiss but I'll let them off with that :)

Also people weren't a fan of Jo because of the men she dated & why she dated them. But once you get to know her background and where her insecurities stem from, I found I could understand her reasons & forgive her them.

Cameron was an awful asshole for a lot of the story, too quick to judge, nearly more so than the reader. I was dancing in my seat when he found out the truth & felt like such a douche bag LOL.

Overall I really enjoyed this story. I loved seeing all my fav characters back together & helping out & can't wait to find out about other perspective couples :)

And Cole!!! Sweet sweet Cole...He sooooo better be getting his own book or I will be PISSED

The reason this didn't get 5★'s is cause for me I never really truly forgave Cameron.....he would have had to work A LOT harder for me to even entertain forgiving him :)

Jo and Cam's story really did me in, much more than Jocelyn and Braden's--and theirs had me in a chokehold! I have yet to read a book by this author that doesn't have me an absolute emotional wreck at some point, but I love that feeling. I definitely recommend if you love that feeling too!

“You know, the world will always try to make you into who it wants you to be. People, time, events, they’ll all try to carve away at you and make you think you don’t know who you are. But it doesn’t matter who they try to make you, or what name they try to give you. If you stay true, you can chip off all their machinations and you’re still you underneath it all.”

I didn’t feel the instant connection to this book that I did to On Dublin Street. I actually set it aside and didn’t pick it back up until I’d read a few other books. The buildup was very slow for me. I didn’t like Jo’s self-deprecating attitude. I thought that Jo’s love for her brother was the sweetest thing ever, but honestly I felt like I’d heard it a million times before I was even 10% in. I was just yelling, “I get it, let’s move on.” I was beat down.

However, I picked it back up and I’m glad I did because I ended up enjoying the book. Jo’s story was so heartbreaking and as I continued to read, I understood why Jo was the way she is. Then, Cam…I was worried I wouldn’t like him in the beginning because he was such an ass, but of course I ended up loving him. He was just what she needed. I loved how he supported her emotionally and built her up. I feel like I started liking Jo so much more once she got a little confidence and stopped pimping herself out. It made me feel good inside to watch her grow as a person.

“I saw pain in his eyes for me, I knew that Cam was the only guy who had ever seen me. And even more important, he saw beyond what I could see. I was more to Cam. I wanted to grab his hand, lead him down the hall to my room, strip myself bare before him, and let him take everything I could give him.” ~Jo

Although this book wasn’t as steamy as the first, it definitely had moments (quite a few in fact.) I just love all the characters in this series and I’m so glad they were in this book. Seriously, I’d love to hang out with all of them!!!

Samantha has a real talent for writing the hero’s characters to be likeable. I love how they all love their women so much, but don’t put up with their crap. They tell it like it is and set them straight in the most loving way possible.

In the end, this book had a different feel to it, but it was a good read. It definitely picks up and gets better, so I say hang in there and you won’t be disappointed.

This was an enjoyable read. I really liked the storyline. I thought Jo was a lovable character. Also, I like the fact that she is really smart. Cam was a bit of a jerk to Jo in the beginning, but as he starts to see who Jo really is, he sees how much potential she has in her. I loved their relationship when they finally got together because they had great chemistry. Also, I loved the sibling relationship between Cole and Jo. It was cute to see them interact with each other. It was also great to catch up with Ellie, and Jo and their men as well. I also like Nate and Olivia. Can’t wait to read their story next. The ending of this story was great. I really enjoyed it. Overall, a great read.
