Overall this wasn't a bad book. I couldn't help comparing it to the previous book in the series. In the last book, we are focused on Baby, Lola's best friend, and we even met Lola in that book. But it was just a faster pace, had more drama, and even a lot of action. In this book, we are dealing with more of the aftermath of what happened to Lola. We got a glimpse of what happened to Lola because she was stuck with the rival gang after Baby, and they tormented her due to find out that she wasn't a real omega. In this book, we are focused on Lola's trauma and how she deals with everything; it was rough to read at times. Plus, this was book 1 of 2, so it started many different things, but we got answers/closure in the next book. I did like the different types of relationships that we got to focus on because, so far, I've read so much about omegas and alphas. Still, we have yet to get that much emphasis on betas. I'm new to this sub-genre, so there might be tons out that I haven't read yet.

Este libro tiene algún tipo de droga, porque no pude soltarlo desde el momento que empecé hasta el moment o en el que terminé. La manera de escribir de la autora es fácil de leer y te atrapa.
Creo que este libro es uno de los mejores why choose que he leído, además de que también toca temas interesantes dentro del universo del omegaverse, las inseguridades de los betas, lo peligroso que resulta ser un omega, y está necesidad de ser, valga la redundancia, necesitado.
Creo que Lola fue una buena protagonista para tocar este tema. Después de estar buscando la atención de los alfas tuvo una muy mala experiencia y ahora no confía en ellos, y siente que nadie va a amarla de verdad (por el hecho de que es una beta). Pero poco a poco Leo logra sacral de su cápsula y verla relacionarse con los alfas es divertido y bello.
Considero que las relaciones se desarrollaron de una manera orgánica, solo hay algunos momentos que me parecieron algo forzados, pero en general creo que las relaciones son buenas y creíbles. Obviamente en este libro hay las mejores escenas spicy que he leído, especialmente Lola con Rake y Leo en el teléfono (escena que recordaré para siempre).
Lo único que no es tan interesante en el libro es la trama relacionada con la revista de maquillaje y moda, no siento que sea tan interesante como lo demás que está pasando.
En conclusión, de verdad me encantó el libro. Lola, como se relaciona con los chicos, y las escenas spicy me tienen pegada al libro. No puedo esperar para el segundo y ver cómo todos protegen a Lola babe.

This is like, light omegaverse: perfect if ur just getting into A/B/O. She isn’t the omega, which is rare, but there is a male omega.

Thought I would give this one a try. I didn't finish Baby's book, but I wanted to see if I would like Lola's story better. I think this author's style is just not for me. Kind of dark and not very romantic to me.
