Another absolute banger in the Finlay Donovan saga! It is my least favorite of the three, but the bar was so ridiculously high. These books are so fun, so fast paced, so ridiculous. And ridiculously easy to read. The antics you’ve come to expect in the last two books continue on here.
Side note: I’m not sure why I thought this would be the final book in a trilogy when I’ve read that absolutely no where. It’s not, it’s clear that this is intended to be a long running series and I’m here for the ride. I’ll keep reading them as long as she keeps writing them!

Elle Cosimano does it again, knocking it out of the part with another great instalment in the Finlay Donovan series. It’s fast-paced, the characters are fun, capable and likeable, and the laugh-out-loud moments continue to abound.
The narration of this series is especially excellent, and I love how Angela Dawe has done Vero’s voice—so distinctive that you can’t help but stop and focus on the story. And can we take a minute to appreciate the characterization of Vero too? Her sassy and smart energy is an essential match to get Finlay out of her comfort zone and push the plot along.
My only complaint is that while one of the charms of this series is that the plots are always quite far-fetched, the initiating action in this one one seemed a bit more forced than the others, so it took awhile for me to get into it.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend this series, and each book so far has held up strong. If you haven’t picked up this series yet, I urge you to do so, especially if you like:
-comedic suspense novels
-a strong, funny cast of characters
-plots with non-stop action
-cozy mystery-adjacent books
Thank you so much to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for gifting me an advanced listening copy of this book—it lived up to the hype and I cannot wait for the next book!

I love the Finlay Donovan books so much! This is my least favorite in the series so far because the storyline was drawn out and could have been condensed a little more. Surprisingly, I did not guess the twist which is always a plus for me. I can’t wait for the next book!
