I know I’ve said I don’t really do series, but I made an exception for Finlay Donovan! She is such a fun, quirky, lovable woman I want to read all about the mess that is her life lol.
In this installment we know Feliks is running things from behind bars thanks to the events of book one and two. However, in this installment, Finlay finds herself in a pickle when Feliks thinks she can be an asset to him and brings her into his web of the mob. Meanwhile Finlay and Vero find themselves on citizens police academy, while trying to figure out who easyclean is in order to save Steven, Finlay’s ex. Problem is, all signs point to contract killer easyclean being a cop. Will Finlay and Vero be able to stop easyclean in time to save Steven or will Finlay end up a widower?
My biggest question, will she or won’t she with Mr hotty detective was finally answered at the end of this book. Glad I now know how that wraps up. This book was just as fun as the other two and had the same laughs and plausibility. This is one of those books that’s great to read to just get away and forget your stresses.
This book is so fun, I give it a 4 out of 5 for giving me the much needed break from my stress. Thank you so much to @netgalley and the publisher, @stmartinspress, for an advanced copy of this book. Make sure to add this book to your tbr and grab it asap on January 31, 2023

This is my comfort series at this point. It fills me with such joy to see what shenanigans Finlay and Vero get themselves into. Vero is still the best and my favorite sidekick of all time. Although, let's be honest, she steals the show every time and should be the main character.
This is the third book so I can't really say much without giving spoilers, but I will most definitely be continuing the series.

I can’t help it - I really enjoy this series. It’s not deep storytelling but sometimes I just want something funny that will keep me entertained. I like the friendship storyline and the suspense keeps me interested. It’s definitely a fun, quick read.

This was breezy and entertaining, but I liked it the least of her three so far.

O.M.G. This book was sooo good. I absolutely loved reading Finlay Donovan’s adventures in her previous two books and this one did not disappoint. Finlay and her nanny Vero are up to their usual antics. The scenarios they always find themselves in is so entertaining, so funny. I laughed out loud numerous times throughout the book and did I mention I read it it one day…stayed up after midnight reading. I could not put it down. And the cliffhanger they left us with makes me long for more. Can’t wait until the next one. It doesn’t get any better than this! ❤️ A fun read, not to be taken seriously.

I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the others in the series. The characters are fun, but I don’t know if I’ll make it through 4 more books.

#FinlayDonovanJumpsTheGun:
At this point, Finlay Donovan may as well be related to Ray Donovan with all of the crime and hijinx happening in her life!
This was a fun one for me. I think it may be the one I liked the most out of the three. I liked that we spent a majority of the time at this training facility so they could hide out. It was a clever way to get them out of sight, but also to get intel. (PS LOVED Mrs. Haggerty getting more time and that she was also there) We also got to get to know Nick’s crew more, which I enjoyed.
The audio was (as always) wonderful. Angela Dawe IS Finlay Donovan, and you cannot convince me otherwise. She hits the sarcasm and serious points effortlessly. Vera had some hilarious one liners that had me laughing out loud, and I feel like she landed those with perfection.
My only quip is that I felt the book was a bit too long and stayed stagnant for a bit. There were a lot of cops, and I kept getting two confused
