OMG I loved this book. The narrator has such a sweet, funny, contemporary voice. She made me laugh my butt off. And I loved Halpern's view of what heaven would be like. It was extremely creative and unique. This silly, fun chick-lit book legitimately made me think about the afterlife, haha. I cried my eyes out at the end and found the conclusion very moving. I highly recommend this one.

I picked this up on a whim at a used-book store, but it ended up being one of the nicest things I've read so far this year.

I thought it was chick lit from the cover (Women's feet! Dead giveaway!) And it kind of is. But funny, a fast-paced read, and, I confess, I teared up a bit at the end.

I'm a puddle. No, I'm a poodle.
It's like I've died and gone to heaven.
I admit it: I cried. I loved this little book and recommend it to all readers.
Beautiful and hopeful and sweet and funny. I love her writing. Is there more?
"A kiss though. A kiss to me is the most intimate thing two people can share, and I think I spent the rest of my life searching for another kiss that was just as good as the first one."

I loved this very quick, light read about an essay the heroine must write in order to get into the 7th level of heaven. The title of the book makes for good conversation. If you had to write an essay about the 10 best days of your life, what would YOU include?

I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did! Here I was expecting something light and fluffy, and maybe just a wee bit hokey. Instead I read something that makes you stop and take stock of your own life. I found myself wondering what the 10 best days of my life would be (ohhh THERE is the fluff I was looking for!) I recommend this for any chick lit lover, and for those who are on the fence for enjoying chick lit. But please keep an open mind - even though the book deals with "Heaven" it is not meant to be religious. It is a quick read and one I wish I didn't wait so long to dive into.

Great chicklit. Premise - 29 year old dies, on 7th heaven, has to write essay to prove was leading a fulfilling life. Great book touching on the 'what am I doing' crisis of your 20s.

An upbeat story of a lady that dies at four in the morning while walking her dog. She goes to heaven and shortly upon arriving is told that to maintain her seventh level of heaven placement she must prove that she had a fulfilling life by writing an essay about her ten best days of her life. Full of humor, wit and realism, she looks back at her life and figures out what's really important. Highly recommended.

Just really wasn't for me - I found the main character so vacuous, shallow and spoilt that I forced myself to read through it quickly so I would be finished as soon as possible. Also the author seemed to have get the dating of the whole book wrong which was jarring.
Idk, it was a good idea and the ending had a little more depth to it than the rest of it (for one I think there might have been a whole 2 pages without a reference to a designer's name), and it was a quick read but beyond that, I can't think of much to recommend.
It just wasn't for me but perhaps the charm was lost on me.
