This was a fun little book about a restless middle aged woman, twice divorced, with adult children who are off leading lives of their own. With her personal and professional responsibilities in flux, Dr. Georgia Young finds herself pondering the possibility of a brand new life. She could quit her job, she could sell her house, she could travel the world - with so many options available to her, how does one decide? This story follows Dr. Young on a journey of self discovery now that she's in a stage of life where the world is open to her and she doesn't need to take care of anyone but herself.

I am so in love with this story. Yes, to some this may be considered boring. But I don't care Im really digging that this is sort of a mid life crisis thing.
Dr georgia Young our leading lady that has everything going for her, but still something is missing. So she decides to sell her house and sell her practice in order to do something new and different with her life. At this point in her life she wants to do something she really enjoys, but the problem is what? This is spot on for me I mean so many people have come to a point in life that they need to find themselves and reset. McMillian tells this with so much flavor and heart. This is one of the best contemporary stories I've read in awhile featuring middle age women.
I highly recommend it to young and old alike.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. Terry McMillan is one of my favorite authors. I love her quirky characters. I never want Terry's books to end. This one was an exceptional read. I recommend it highly.

"what a great story"

I often wondered about some of my exes too. Terry wrote a real to life scenarios between Georgia's girlfriends that just cracked me up. Stan was a complete but welcomed surprise. I'm happy to hear they got their HEA. Great writing!

This book was re-listened to using Audible.com for the ICCC Bookclub.

I've had this sitting on my shelf for quite a few years, and I'm glad I finally read it! I feel that the reviews on this are very polarized, but I fell into the "strong like" camp as I got to know Georgia and her stroll through her past. It reminded me of a middle age version of Lilian Boxfish.
