I want to like the VK series more than I do, and I accept that part of the problem is that I'm a little too old for the series. The books are too short for all that seems to happen in them, and a good chunk of any given book is filled with products I'd kill to have made.

Jagger and Luna have left Dullsville and everything seems fine. Prom is underway and Raven still hasn't gotten a dress yet! But then, Jagger and Luna's little brother Valentine has moved to town and decided to become friends with Billy. How can Raven convince Billy that his new friend is dangerous without revealing that he is a vampire?
Dance with a Vampire is the fourth book in the Vampire Kisses series. I first started reading this series about ten years ago, and since then, I had left off at book 3. It turns out, there really isn't much variation between the books. Sure, a new character or two gets added, but you can pretty much jump from book two to five without really missing the gist of the story.
So, why did I decide to restart this series with the goal of finishing all nine books? Well, there is something about this series that is predictable but comforting. It's exactly what you imagine it to be, no more no less. There is a little light romance, a bit of action, a bit of cheesy humour. And, there's a goth protagonist who stick out light a sore thumb amongst the rest of the "Dullsville" population.
All in all, this is a fun series and I can't wait to see what other new characters will pop into the next few books.

*May be spoilers, but big ones will be marked*

Awww, Valentine was so adorable, i couldn't stop loving him. Even when he was being extremely creepy. A Minni Jagger? C'mon, i'm sure you have to agree! anyway, this book was awesome, her brother getting a goth friend? P-l-e-a-s-e! But it's true, all so true! and its really surprising considering the fact that Henry and Billy are nerds and the general idea is that Nerds don't like goths, but anyway. an excellent read, i recommend this for people who like the first and second and thrid book, goth main characters , The Vladimir Tod series, (Really hot goth guys.), and YA Fantasy Fiction.

This one was the best I've read in this series so far. I think if I'm going to continue this I will switch to print because I am not really a fan of this narrator at all.

Dance With a Vampire takes Raven and Alexander to the prom. Then there's Valentine getting involved with Raven's brother Billy. Very young vampire drama. I think I'm just too old for this series :o(

Now I know why I never made it past #3 in the series. They’re quick listens but incredibly formulaic and repetitive.
