Witty, fun and challenging read. Mighty interesting when read within the context it was written in, under the reign of Louis XVI and a handful of years before the French Revolution. Loved it. I recommend reading while or after having watched the play - available on YouTube.

A solid classic, very cute, lighthearted and pretty easy to get through. Its not exactly deep and doesn’t feature as much social commentary as i usually go for but i liked the plot and the characters. There’s not much to criticize but I probably wouldn’t have read it if it hadn’t been for a french class and won’t go out of my way to read any of the other plays in the series.
