Cain is everything that I've come to expect from this author. This emotional, beautifully written tale grabbed hold and didn't let go. It's so much more than just an MMA romance. It's a coming of age story of kids stuck between a rock and a hard place, doing what they must just to survive another day. Gabby's innocence and Cain's determination to protect that innocence from betrayals that she doesn't even know about is like a light shining in the dark. Cain and Gabby have such good chemistry and they are so good together, but this story is about so much more than just this couple. Together with Ivan and Knox, this is a family born not of blood, but of shared hardship and struggles.
Lane Hart didn't just tell me a story, she pulled me in to the lives of these characters. My heart broke right along with them as they clawed and struggled for their happily ever after. The only downfall for me was that I wanted more. Don't get me wrong, the book ended perfectly, but I was so caught up that I wasn't ready to let go. So, this reader will be not so patiently waiting for Ivan's story.

Yes yes yes! A million times yes!
This book!
*happy dance*
I fell so hard for this book it was unreal, i lived and breathed this book for the few hours i devoured it in.

Cain was everything i hoped for, when you meet him in Lukes book he was the bad guy but i have a thing about the bad guys anyway.
He was amazing and so worth everything!

Gabby i was on the fence about for a little bit but after a few years she seemed to get better, she had some growing up to do but after running away with him brother it all goes down hill for her.
I was never really her brothers biggest fan though, he was too selfish to have a loving sister like Gabby.

And don't even get me started on Knox and Ivan, god damn them two. I'm absolutely dying for Ivan's book!

Lane Hart you done absolutely amazing with Cain and i can't wait for more!!

❤💋

Wow!!! If you LOVED the Cocky Cage Fighter series you will love this read. This is not your usual MMA book but this was such an amazing read that I was hooked from the very first page until the final words were read. Cain and Gaby had me intrigued with their story of survival. Cain protecting Gaby from all the elements and obstacles that were thrown their way from those closest to them and those trying to tear them apart. Be ready for a roller coaster ride of emotions that will have you begging for more......but so worth the ride!

For Cain and Gabby it was pretty much love at first sight. He saw himself as her protector and enlisted Ivan and Knox to also look out for her when they realized what Robbie did. It was amazing that Cain, Ivan and Knox never talked about their pasts with each other until years later but yet they would do absolutely anything for the others. I love that Gabby didn't run screaming into the night when she found out about Cain's past.

'I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.'

If I could give this book more stars I would. I can be a bit bias when it comes to Lane cause I love her books. I’ve read every single book she’s wrote and most multiple times. I have been in love with her Cocky Cage fighters series from Jax all the way to Alex. And I am an ARC reader for her as well. But if you have ever read one of her books you know what I mean.

I wasn’t sure if she could top the CCF series but I am happy to tell you that she has. Cain is the first book in this new series and i was speechless after I finished this book yesterday. This story is intense, sweet, it’s raw, rough and heart stopping. The actual story is dark but Gabby and Cain bring the light. His love for Gabby is endless and it will open your eyes. You know it’s just a book and these characters aren’t real but you will want it to be real. You cry when they cry, you will hurt when they hurt, that’s how intense this book is. I was sad when it ended because I wanted to read more and more.

You will not be disappointed in this book, and I know I’m not the only one that is super excited to read more from these boys.

Wow! If your read the Cocky Cage Fighter series then you will absolutely love this book! You don't have to have read the CCF series to get into this one. Its cool because in one of the CCF books (Luke) you see what happens when he went into the underground fighting to earn some extra cash. There you were introduced to Cain. From Luke's POV he seemed like a total douche! This give you his side of the story and you get to know why he was such a jerk about the possibility of losing.
Gabby was sold to the mafia boss by her brother when she was only 14. That was when she met Cain. He was in a dark place, but the second he saw her he felt protective of her, maybe even love at first sight (but being 15 he wouldn't have known that). You get a good amount of back story on these 2. Cain gives the phrase "fighting for the woman you love" a whole new meaning. He fights to keep her from having to strip (and other things) in the club. But he has to win. And just when you think that they are going to get their HEA.... you get thrown for a little loop.... and there is the cliffhanger.

So now I can't wait for the next one!!!!

This is book one in the Out of the Cage series and it features Cain and Gabby. For whatever his reasons, Cain’s friendship with Gabby, up until she turned 18, was so innocent, protective, loving and romantic. They were in love but without anything physical. It was beautiful. The way they had to live as minors with Mrs. Engle wasn’t bad at all but after turning 18 the payback for that life is unfair and wrong. It is the mob after all.

The creative way the story line was put together was fantastic! Great characters! I can’t wait for Ivan's book

Decent

Overall really good romance book. The character development was appropriate and I liked the multiple viewpoints. I'm excited to read the rest of the series.

i regret reading this.

Spoileri'm genuinely confused by the entire story.

gabby supposedly worships the ground her brother walks on but it skips three entire years of story of her brother "coming back for her" and never even seeing him unless she sees him at the gym? it skips three entire years of growth as a character to instead focus on being someone who cares more about a sex workers boobs than the awful living situation she's in?

i really need someone to explain to me how a set of teenagers (14/15 at start) somehow become indebted to a mob boss to the point that they're FORCED to live in a house with no supervision and enroll themselves in school by themselves with no guardian or how at 18 they're still forced to work for a mob boss?????
