I was thoroughly inspired by Ms. Power's account of her journey through the fight for human rights and into the hallowed halls where she actively tried to change things for the better. Her reflections are relatable, even if her experiences are not the typical path for most readers. I appreciate the uniqueness of her life even as I can see what we have in common. For me, the mark of a good read is to provide new insight while still relating to your audience. I learned a lot about the world as it was when I was a child, and even more about the way things work if you are lucky enough and brave enough to enter public service as Ms. Power has and did.

I really enjoyed this book! It is interesting, educational, thoughtful, and moving. Thank you Samantha Power for your service to our country and for your wonderful memoir. I am now looking forward to reading your Pulitzer Prize winner "A Problem from Hell : America and the Age of Genocide."

Very well written but I think I just wasn't in the mood to read this type of book.
