This! This is the kind of book I want to read during the holiday season. It's a perfect kick-off and the right touch of sexy, funny, and badass "you fucked with the wrong woman" attitude I love in female MC. It's a quick read and the perfect book to read just before going to bed.

Certainly not your usual Christmas story, this relatively short read has raunch and gore, and is a fun way to fill in some spare time. Not for the faint-hearted.

What a fun little read! We started with a cozy house, moved on to sexy time and a coffin, and ended with using a piñata stick as a weapon. “Las Posadas” by V. Castro was quite the ride!

This story’s brevity lent itself to the tense and fast-paced atmosphere. While perhaps a smidge cheesy at times (I’ll allow it bc it’s Christmas!), this short story was packed with humor, horror, folklore, and Mexican American culture- all some of my favorite things.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I love seeing my people and our culture at the center of a story. I’m very quickly becoming a fan of Castro’s writing and can’t wait to get my hands on her next novel.

Castro posted this was available and I bought it and started reading it right away. A Christmas Romance Horror novelette!? By one of my horror writers! Sign me up!

It was a great little story. I loved how Las Posadas was tied into it and how pozole and a piñata stick became a weapons! Although, it did make me want some pozole, and I can't have it anymore with my bladder issues 😭😭.

If you are looking for something short and fun then definitely check this one out. V. Castro deserves all the love!
