I tried. But it's official - CH and I just don't mesh. I almost DND'd right in the beginning because of a really stupid prank - putting hot pepper juice in someone's eye is not at all funny and could be very destructive. WTH!?

My major complaint is with the immaturity of the characters. Maybe I'm just not a fan of standard New Adult novels, but everyone in this one seemed incredibly immature. I was also really bothered by the fact that Bridgette hit Warren repeatedly. And the first time, their sex wasn't completely consensual. Yes, he meant well, but I couldn't get past that.

This books is so effing cute. It's a mini book and can be finished in one sitting (that's what I did). It is a half sequel to her book "Maybe Someday" and this book features Bridgette and Warren's relationship. The writing is kind of rushed in the way that you don't get the usual Colleen Hoover set up and build and dramatics. However, it is kind of nice. It's a very straightforward love story and you don't get all the dramatics which you usually see, but its still amazing! I love seeing how Warren felt throughout their building relationship and it's nice to see the start of it too. In "Maybe Someday" we see it where it has already been a thing and it's nice to see it's start.

My rating: 4.75/5
Only because it's shorter and I wish I got more build up!

Just ok, fast read and pretty typical of her books.
