Here it is, my first 5 star Percy Jackson book! This book was soooo good, it was engaging the whole way through & I loved most of the characters (Thalia, if you're reading this, you're excluded from the 'most'). This book keeps the original crew & I feel like I'm really starting to love them all, and the new crew that was added on in this book, I also loved so much. This book was happy, sad, and very adventurous. I feel like the "kids" are finally growing up a little and it makes them much more enjoyable.

I finally meet the fan-favorite (according to my Tumblr for the past decade) Nico! A really fun book and a lot happens (maybe a little too much for my tastes now, but I have long aged out of this book's target demographic so who cares).

I really liked this book, I read it in two days. It would have been a 5 star but the climax was a little bit underwhelming. I understand that it is a set up book because it’s the 3rd book in the series but I still feel like more could have happened because I swear the fight was one chapter.

The Percy Jackson books are extremely formulaic bit putting that predictability aside this was a good listen. It was not as interesting or exciting as some of the others and I do feel both Zoey Nightshade and Thalia were throw-away characters (unpopular opinion?) but altogether I enjoyed it.
There’s something about a good hook and likeable characters that gets cozy. Percy Jackson does that well.
