It is a tad long for storytime I realized. And I should have known. The book is also an awkward size which makes it difficult for an audience.

But kids loved the opposites and talking about things in the world that are big, small, and in between. When I had to move papers around to show words, I knew I had their attention

I read the eBook, and after reading others' comments, know that I would like to see the physical book with the lift-out flaps to get the full effect. I especially liked the in-between examples, like a half birthday and droopy balloons. I get the point of ending with "Everything," but think that might be a bit confusing. It would be fun for students to come up with their own classified lists, or to show them things and ask to which list they would belong. I had seen some recommendations online for this book.

I love the perspective on size and the comparisons Higgins makes. They aren't what you would typically expect, but each one makes you nod your head and say, "yes!"
Exquisite illustrations from Daniel Miyares.
