An interesting eclectic book of book lists.

It's not a goodreads list, but a bizarre collection of lists. Some lists offer a window into the thoughts of places (eg. space station, Kansas City parking ramp), nations (eg Nazi Germany banned books) and lots of people (eg. David Bowie). Some are non-existent books fabricated from lists gathered from novels... and lots of curious lists.

One of favorite book titles: The Stray Shopping Carts of Eastern North America: A Field Guide to Identification

A fun, off-topic and quirky book.

I adore books about books, and so with a title like this and a cover like that, I remember absolutely pouncing on this one when I had spotted it in the British Library bookstore. A real treat of a collection of book lists that cover a wide range of subjects - from Bin Laden's collection to Obama's summer recommendations to the books arranged on the sets of your favourite sitcoms, there's something here for everyone. Each list is accompanied by amusing anecdotes and trivia, apart from the fact that you also end up with some great reading recommendations. Would work great either as a coffee table read or a travel companion!

There are some very interesting lists here, and some less so, about what you'd expect from a book like this really. Would have loved for it to include some photographs or drawings here and there, to illustrate what the "lists" described looked like in person. A picture of Dickens' fake books, or one of a telephone box library, for example. Let's face it. most of us that love books and lists of books, probably love looking at books too!

Nothing truly exceptional, but it whiles away an hour or so.
