While I preferred the first book in this series, I did think this story was exciting without any dull moments! I was sad that my liking for Alosa disappeared though as she was always fighting with her crew and being just.. mean! Riden was right, he deserves better.

Such a fun book! The 2nd in the Daughter of the Pirate King series is better than the first. I love Alosa and her loyalty to her crew. Riden is swoon-worthy and the swashbuckling action is tight and fast-paced. The siren mythology is a fun twist to this awesome pirate action!
