Damn! There’s more twists and turns in this than a goddamn maze, and I loved it!

The story is separated into three different narratives and all of them have different strengths, and sometimes weaknesses. But even when I was less fussed about that particular narrative I still wanted to keep reading to find out what happened.

This book isn’t a typical dystopian horror, there’s so much to it, and although a part of me suspected certain things, I still had way more questions than answers until the end.

I never expected to get through this as fast as I did, but I just couldn’t put it down.

Perfect for a blustering, cold winter night, when the wind is whistling and you just can’t seem to shift that chill in your bones.

The concept of this book is brilliant and very ambitious. Unfortunately, the execution is lacking in many ways. I feel like the world is not explained well enough, I was left with many questions. Also, the final goal was not clear to me, where was the plot going the whole time? Way too many characters that didn't matter anyway, complex explanations for things that just turned out to be conveniences, no explanation for thing that actually mattered. I liked the idea behind how the three timelines connected and what the author tried to do with the three different povs but it just didn't work out in the end. I'm very disappointed becuse in theory, this could've been my favorite book, it has all the tropes I love. However, I'm left feeling kinda meh and the experience was very underwhelming. I'm hoping I have better luck with C. J. Tudor's next book.

This is hands down my favourite read this year. I couldn't put it down and didn't see any of the twists coming. I won't do a detailed review because I think this book is best to go into blind, but DAMN.

This is a very fast-paced horror/thriller set in an apocalyptic world ravaged by a virus. The multiple POVs kept the story moving very quickly and every chapter ends in a way that makes you want to keep reading. The wrap-up is very smart and you do have to pay attention to the details, but I didn’t see the end twists coming at all. There are some scenes in here that are extremely graphic and difficult to read. You could skim over the gore and death scenes and still get it. I would say I enjoyed the wrap up of this one more than The Burning Girls, and I’ll read her next one, too.
