Action. Political intrigue. A believable romance. Everything you want from Cinderella the first time written beautifully

Was this silly at times? Yes. Was it entirely too long? Yes. Did I have a fun time? Also, yes.

I am undecicive between 2 and 3 stars
I will write a full review soon

OK, here goes

I always like to read something light and sweet between my heavy reads
and as a Disney fanatic, this series is going to be my marshmallow that would sweeten my mind

this is the retelling of Cinderella
the story starts from the night of the ball, and it is mostly told from Cindy's POV though we get little from Charles and the Duke (the villian of the story)

the book started off really good
I always wondered what Ella and the Prince were talking about in the garden?
it must have been a hellavu conversation to make him fall for her in one night
and it was

also, I love it when retelling books attempt to explain things that were a bit off or cringe in the original movie and story
Like the instant love, and why were they hung up on using the slipper

the talk, the walk, the insights. All were promising a great book
but 3 things ruined the mood for me

1- the book started dragging on and on. too many internal monologues that werent necessary

2- there were very little interaction between Ella and Charles. almost crossing half the book and they only met twice.

3- the undeveloped and full of loop holes story of why magic was banned in the kingdom

so I'll keep it a 3 stars for now

this book was actually surprisingly really really good and i was not expecting it to be that good but i really liked the character Cinderella in the book and the whole plot was amazing. It is my favorite twisted tale book that I've read so far.

I absolutely loved this book! It was by far my favourite Twisted Tale so far, and I regret leaving it so late to read!

I loved aunt Genevieve and her relationship with Cinderella, she really is done a lot of justice compared to the original Disney movie.
I also love the whole conspiracy with the Grand Duke and the magic being banned - it gives the book a perfect sense of mystery to it. I absolutely loved every second reading it! 5 stars FOR SURE.
