A simple and mindless book that was very easy to read and relied heavily on you knowing the tale of Cinderella already.
This is a perfect palette cleanser book for when you've just emerged from a long high fantasy series.
The characters didn't have a lot of personality and it was very heavy on the love at first sight troupe, but...it's Cinderella, so it is exactly what you expect.
I did very much enjoy reading this and I was rooting for Cinderella and Charles the entire time. The only time I started to get frustrated at Cinderella (Girl, just tell him who you are!), The plot moved on. Which was good as I expected a few more chapters of frustration.
The twist in the tale was well executed and the only thing I wished for was more involvement of the step family. I did enjoy that both Charles and Cinderella questioned if they did love each other or if they loved the idea of each other.
