Good, I love how it adds onto Cinderella's story and gives her more personality that she ever had in the original. This is how I want people to see Cinderella, as a strong female character and not the character that people want to portray her as. The story itself was good and the plot was nice, I adored the magic touch that expands on the Fairy Godmother. But I didn't at all like the Dukes POV, felt completely unnecessary to me and felt it felt like they didn't have enough for an entire story for her so they added his POVs in the last minute. The writing was very good and I enjoyed that they gave her a human friend.

In general, I have trouble getting into the writing of the Disney twisted tales series, but this one was one of the better ones. I like how it wasn’t just a love story but also involved political intrigue and scheming. The ending was definitely a whirlwind. I still think things happened to fast but they do in the original Cinderella, too, so there’s only so much to work with. I loved Cinderella’s friendship with Louisa as well!

A far better version of Cinderella than the original!

Enjoyable Cinderella retelling. Nothing super groundbreaking, but it was a good time.

This was such an adorable read! Like the rest of the series, it was a short read but still managed to expand the universe cleverly by exploring the what ifs. The whole way through I couldn’t help but be inspired by the quiet strength of Cinderella. I absolutely loved it!

This book promised a re-telling of Cinderella, and while it certainly is that, it still feels too much like the movie version. I was bored and rolling my eyes everytime a character spoke.

I’ve read nearly all of the Twisted Tales books, and this one is one of the best, up there with Reflection and Part of Your WorldSo This is Love is a brilliant reimagining of the classic Cinderella story, only with much better-developed characters and an unexpected amount of political intrigue. I quite enjoyed the whole story, but especially Cinderella and Charles’ sweet romance (even if it reeks of insta-love), Charles’ aunt Genevieve, and the focus on the fairy godmother. Overall, this was a fun read that I sped through, and would definitely recommend to anyone interested in fairytale retellings.
