It was an entertaining read. I found at times it struggles between being forward thinking and at other times it falls into the pit falls of romances where the woman always needs the man. While I enjoyed the protagonist capability as a tradie she felt like she was always hung up on the male protagonist.

Talented tradie Rose lands a job on reality TV show, Mansions in the Sky, where she aids contestants in turning shells of houses into glorious mansions. Despite this glamorous gig, she struggles to make friends, and her artistic parents are disappointed with her practical career choices. The only person making time for her is one of the attractive, but married, contestants. But will their stolen moments off-camera put them in danger?

Nailed It is a modern take on a rom com, with plenty of behind the scenes ‘gossip’ about the reality of reality television.

hmmm.
I like the concept of this book. And I really appreciated the world-building, I liked the characteristics of each character, and how individual/unique/strange they all were.
Except I did get frustrated/annoyed by Rose's fam, I suppose that was purposeful. What a bunch of ungrateful sooks they all were.

I personally think - (my favourite character in this book) who was a contestant in the tv show 'The Dock' who had a dog as her partner helping to (essentially) decorate a ship with fake starfish - should have featured more in the story. I forget her name, but she was a meme.

anger is one emotion the reader feels reading this - at Rose's attachment to her family, I really wish she just packed her bags and drove away. But I did get a heap of laughs. And also a bit uncomfortable about the relationships going on, but it's all part of the story. So...

But I sincerely thought Dave was a bit wack. He was also a bit of a shell. And a weak one at that. But I guess Rose likes him, so whatevs. She can have him.

Disappointing, shallow and unrealistic in all aspects. Loved the concept, but the execution was woeful - why write about the construction industry if your knowledge and expertise are shallower than a kiddie pool??
