I liked the plot, the spice and the vivid descriptions of Alaska. I loved the side characters. But the MCs dialogue got too repetitive.
I am intrigued by Lucy and can not wait to read her story.

Ok by the time I got to chapter 33 I felt like I have read the ending before. Its so odd.

The rest of the book felt new. It was ok, I liked the second chance at love stuff but Amelia being so jealous I just didn’t like that considering Cade likes her so much.

I just wished it was I don’t know so less angsty/drama. The best thing about this book is Alaska.

Loved the narration too.

This book was so boring. I didn’t care if they got together.

I really enjoyed this story!! It pulled me in from beginning to end with the characters. I loved Amelia and Cade. Amelia is the tom joy with her own construction company in Alaska. She knows what love is and feels like because she had it 7 years ago before an incident happened that split Cade and her up but she doesn't have high hopes that she will ever have that again. Cade is finally moving back to town but doesn't expect the situation that he runs into when he finally sees Amelia. They are both stubborn and it contributed to their fall out. As the truth comes out, it gives them the opportunity for a second chance. I really loved the flow of this story and how things came about. The sex is explicit and blended well. The characters have high chemistry so it definitely plays a part in the story but it was well done so just added to it. There was little bits of action as well but it mostly focuses on the couple and their figuring things out. I'm excited to read the next in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

The storyline was cute but I didn’t like the authors style or writing. There was way too much attention to detail & the scenery than there was on dialogue. I shouldn’t have to read 2 pages into what the trees look like when somebody is driving.

While the story was okay, the relationship drama and uncertainty between Amelia and Cade became very repetitive. There were a lot of steamy, intimate scenes and a lot of language. Just not my cup of tea.

Lackluster

Had this book been a novella, I think I’d have really enjoyed it but it’s a full length book that goes nowhere fast. I kept thinking “is something going to happen soon” because there was literally nothing happening until maybe 75% in and I was so bored!

This book is Amelia and Cade’s love story. They were high school/college sweethearts until a misunderstanding separated them for 7 years. There was a lot of hurt feelings between the two but their chemistry remained fierce when they accidentally run into each other one night at a bar. He gives her a ride home and they hash out their past and then BAM! they are together. They have lots of sex but the same issues come up again and they need to decide if their love is worth it.

I hoped this would read like an enemies to lovers but they made up in a blink of an eye. After making up and getting it on nonstop, not a lot happens except for Amelia going to work then the diner and running into Cade who takes her on a bike ride to their old haunts where they promptly get it on again. I was so incredibly bored BUT I liked this author’s style of writing and I actually loved Cade and Amelia as a couple. I wanted more to happen in this book but I can’t deny that I was able to get through it despite my lackluster response to it and it set up the next book in this series to be something I’d actually want to read. It’s weird to say this but there was so much fluff to this that I felt like their story didn’t need to be told because there was nothing to it at all which is why it would have read great as a short story.
