This series has an interesting premise and world. It’s also quite thematically rich and dark at times. The ways that it makes you question certain institutions of society is creative. The characters are quite varied as well. It’s very good, not quite perfect for an introduction but I definitely see why it’s such a revered manga title.

My first introduction to FMA was through Brotherhood and I finally had a chance to give the manga a spin and heavens was it so worth it.

I have finally gotten around to reading the manga my favorite anime came from and I am not disappointed. Arakawa is a genius.

This was a really great first volume of manga and I am so excited to go onto the next in the series.

I was already very familiar with this story from watching both versions of the anime more times than I can count but it is a great story with a fun start and lots of intrigue. It was really cool to see Arakawa's original art and story. I loved the art in this book and the fun humour some of which wasn't featured in the anime.

I definitely recommend this book both for fans of the anime and people new to the story.
