This book has some interesting stories of MIT culture and different types of white-hat hacking (with various blends of social and technical manipulation). However, the story didn't have a strong thread throughout, but rather meandered through details of personal life, romantic ventures, and developing an IT career. I think this story would have been more convincing as a memoir, both in capturing the main character's voice and maintaining the realism as a non-fiction book.
