I enjoyed this a lot more than the last Samantha Young book I read, although communication issues are definitely still a central part of the conflict between the leads. Still, I enjoyed the characters in this one a lot and I think I'll be continuing to read in the series!

I really enjoyed this one.
I didn't really like that Sloan was trying to rush Walker into talking about his most traumatic experience. I understand that she wanted to be let in but they hadn't even been dating that long and he was slowly opening up about other things. She should have given him some time.

This was the first time I read something written by this author, and it certainly won't be the last. It captivated my attention from the first chapters.

Sloane moved with her daughter to Ardnoch to get away from the past. Now, she works as a housekeeper at a celebrity resort. She also bakes, having her own little "business." She is very strong and does everything to keep her daughter happy and safe.

Walker works at the resort as a bodyguard, and when danger comes Sloane's way, he doesn't hesitate for a second to save her.  From that moment, he is super protective of her and her daughter. Also, he is very grumpy, which makes him even hotter.

The tension between the two is felt from the first chapters. Although they are total opposites, they are perfect together.  Sloane is very open about her feelings, compared to Walker, who keeps them inside. But, of course, as soon as he finally gives in, the two can barely stay apart.

Thank you Samantha Young and Valentine PR for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Another homerun by Samantha Young. My god, my eyes are swollen from having cried so much. Adairs and now even their friends just cannot catch a break huh? This book was so intense and eventful that I didn't wanna put it down for a second (I had to for a while due to my eyes hurting too much from crying πŸ˜…)
I want to live in Ardnoch so bad it's not even funny! And I have never in my life wanted to live anywhere but my home country so that says something real
Also I totally called way back in Only You that Aria would have a book about her soon 😁 I'm just gonna put it right here that I think Hayden Barr is gonna have a book about him before this series ends!
Ahhh I'm just soso emotional right now. Thank you, Samantha Young, for making it even harder with every new book to pick my favourite book 😁
