This is almost like a John Green book, but for those in their 20’s a 2023 world.

A lot of hard relating went on in this, from navigating friendships, dating (or not), to affording a house and getting well paid jobs. I also found it really interesting that Prasifka highlighted how a lot of our generation turn to social media and drink as a form of escapism as well as that some find it easier to navigate the online world than the real one.

This was all wrapped up with a bit of dystopia too, which stopped this from becoming too hard hitting to read, allowing for a bit of escapism (but I could honestly imagine this happening in our real world too).

I wasn't aware of some of the content it contains. I like the book but I can't keep reading it with the sensitive topics it approaches, I should have looked up trigger warnings before hand.

Really interesting that the author never physically describes what the character looks like and that the main character doesn’t have any dialogue. The crack was an interesting element that I guess is used as a metaphor for all the issues going on in the world that we can see but choose to ignore. I really liked it.

I bought this book becauseof the intriguing title and the pretty cover, I didn't read what it was about, but I think that if I read it I probably wouldn't have bought it, and don't get me wrong, I liked this book, but it's not the kind I usually read (doesen't mean I hate it), and I thought that her writing style was really similar to Ottessa Moshfegh, which is quite good in my opinion.
Good, waiting for you to be great
