I heard this guy on NPR and he was awesome. I was really looking forward to his book but it comes off slow and kinda boring. The parts where he is on the ISS is neat, but he just doesn't write as well as he speaks.

I liked it. Interesting perspective about focusing on one thing and enjoying life while always preparing for the worst. I felt like a lot of the book was humble bragging (but then how can you avoid it, if you're an actual astronaut) and, as others have said, emotion was a bit lacking.

Three and a half stars. I enjoyed this, although some parts were more dull than others. Overall a good book, that I would recommend to space nerds like me.

Really interesting story, learned a lot about the life and intricacies of being an astronaut. Slightly repetitive but well organized and enjoyable to read - it re-sparked my interest in outer space.
