I’m still thinking about this book and I love it so much. This series has reached the top of my favourites and stands there with The Mortal Instruments as number 1. Faythe and Nik are my favourite characters, both complex and interesting. I loved the new characters that we are introduced to and watching the characters from the first book develop. The story is fast paced and never boring. I didn’t want to put it down. I enjoyed reading about the new General but my heart will forever belong to Nik! I love a new fae guard and there’s a point in the book where I cried. I love the strong female character that is Faythe. She accepts responsibility for her actions and will always support her friends/found family but also learns she cannot do everything by herself. To learn her true heritage is amazing and I cannot want to read more in the books to come. I found it interesting to read how some characters lives were entwined before they met. Thank you to the author for writing a wonderful story and reigniting my love for fantasy books.
