I honestly hoped that in this book I would finally be able to like Dante's character, but I think my dislike for him only grew even more, even though there was potential in his character.
I was pretty bored with most of the book. Although it was good that we could see certain events from her point of view, I was very disturbed by the fact that it was repeatedly said that he admits her own mistakes, with which he constantly hurt Valentina, but despite this, he does nothing to change it, only years later. Besides, trying to destroy another person's marriage just for reasons of power does not correspond to my value system at all. I find it simply distasteful, and for that reason, I was also disappointed in Valentina that she did not express her displeasure for this or that. I would have expected much more from her.
For me, there is no question that I am a Famiglia party, so I was not too moved by the many betrayals. Honestly, all of them deserved slaps in the face, especially Mr. Scuderi, who makes me downright sick every time he appears in the book.
Also, I have to admit, that I already have a thing for Mr. Remo Falcone. I just know that he will be fantastic in his book.
Overall, I didn't like this book and I still don't like Dante or Valentina.
