Wow. Ruby put her everything into this book and it bleeds off of every page. In The Game we see Alice go through some truly awful experiences where the twins aren’t there to help or save her… but Teddy is. Teddy is the guy none of us wanted. When Ruby starting teasing his introduction I was ready to riot but as it turns out… Ruby knows best. Teddy is exactly who Alice needs as she goes through this transition and I really believe that the Alice we get at the end of The Game wouldn’t exist if not for Teddy.
This book tore me apart and had me sobbing when I never expected to. Ruby did such a beautiful job of taking us through these character’s experiences and their emotions that I truly felt like it was a rollercoaster because I felt everything right along with them. I broke with the twins. I was brave with Alice. And I struggled with Teddy. But Ruby put all of us back together again. And then she threw in some of the best
