This books romance had me super confused..and it felt rather rushed in general. I wouldn’t say it’s a horrible read but the plot didn’t capture me completely and I finished the book thinking “is that it?”

Mmm, It was alright! I was really captivated in the beginning.. it moved quickly and kept me engaged. Though, as I kept reading I realized that some chapter ended a bit abruptly at times.. the timeline and flow of subsequent events didn’t seem progress very smoothly. I also felt like towards the end it became a bit rushed and slightly confusing. Some of the events that would happen towards the end would be a bit random and sudden. Though, lots of potential :) I will continue reading and finish the series!

I like vampire/human stories, and this one kind of delivered. The story line I wanted was there, but the FMC had so little common sense it made me want to bang my head against a wall. How little she understood other people's feelings not do to ignorance but stupidity/Naivität. The ending was ok, a cliffhanger bit didn't make me want to continue.

In the beginning I really enjoyed this book, but once I got about 40-50% of the way through I began to feel like the writing was not the greatest. I like the concept of this book, but I felt as though so many events were not talked about in depth enough or there was not enough background on everything. Any decision Abigail made seemed rushed and not thought through enough. I know she’s young and from a sheltered background, but the way she thought and acted made me cringe some times. I think this could be a good book, but it just felt like a lot of aspects were lacking.

I did enjoy that Abigail chose her own path rather than the typical staying for the boy and going against everything you believe just for him. Although she fought tooth and nail to convince him to come with her, and I feel in the end she didn’t try hard enough to fight or compromise with Imogen. The story also ended abruptly. When I was on the last chapter or two I was surprised that there weren’t many pages left. It was nice to read a short story but it felt too quick.

I was interested in this story, we're all a sucker for a good Vampire romance, but I couldn't get myself invested in this one. There were a few things that didn't seem to add up and the pace of the story was almost too quick. Drawing out the story a little more could do a world of wonders and could also patch up some of the holes.

Something about the main character having weird 'feelings' for a person who wrecked into her and killed her friends is off. Never mind the story behind this, for the first half of the story, this is what we and the character believe. It just seems weird to feel anything but rage for someone like that. Also, her friends at the Bastion act as if they know what Reece looks like despite never meeting him.

I wasn't quite able to finish this story, but I always recommend that others read it on their own to make their own deductions!
