This a book with themes around culture, gender, parenthood, career and choices. It's set in a small reststop in a small planet no life or notable resources, when a group of strangers is gets stuck together inside it due to a unusual situation. I loved, loved, loved how the character interacted and developed, how the details of each culture were described and how each theme was approached through the book. Hopeful and emotional but not condescending.

Possibly my least favourite book of the series, or tied with Record for 3rd, but still an amazing book filled with wondrous characters. I love this world so much, and every character Becky writes is just amazing. I want to read more about them all, forever, and I'm very sad this series is over.

A fantastic end to the series that ties up some loose ends from the other books and dives deeper into some of the big topics raised earlier in the series. I think this might be my favourite Wayfarers book.

I’m so sad the series is over, but this was such a wonderful way to end it!! These books feel like a warm hug and never fail to make me cry and The Galaxy, and the Ground Within is no different.

I adore this series. I love the galaxy Chambers created. This book has a lot less plot than the others, I feel. It's a lot about who the characters are and their species and their histories and why things happen. As always, wild moral dilemmas are introduced.

I think I'd enjoy reading an encyclopedia about this universe, tbh, that's how fascinating the worldbuilding is to me. I'd love an artbook or something.

Sad to part with the series. I guess I'll just have to reread it from time to time.

I have never loved a set of characters more. They feel so real. The book was about a small private dome filled with kindness and people learning about eachother and understanding eachother. There were so many beautiful moments and I couldn't have asked for a better ending to this series.
