Stalked by the Kraken by Lillian Lark

This was a strange story. Parts were ok, but I did quite a bit of skimming. The kraken wasn't the strangest part. Rose's family business, the antique auction, the matchmaking. It felt like too many ideas thrown together on top of insta love.

THOUGHTS
Besties, have I got news for you. Krakens are where it is AT. THIS BOOK! Gideon knows what he wants and that is his Treasure (screams!) , Rose. She is emotionally scarred from a previous relationship so he has to go softly softly. By the way he is a complete cinnamon roll despite having a dark side (which is SMOKING HOT). And speaking of smoking hot, Lillian Lark knows how to write a sex scene. The smut in this book is off the charts! And we all know I read a lot of smut. Anyway, if you want to gobble up some amazing, possessive but adorable monster smut then you need to read this book right now.

This is my second time reading this book and it is just a charming the second time. The plot and conflict aren’t very complex/sophisticated but it’s a fun read regardless.

Eh it was ok. I felt that the characters were dry and the plot was not super interesting. The writing was occasionally confusing, too

This book is my go-to recommendation for anyone starting the monster subgenre.

It's quite a cool universe, interesting plot, and spicy scenes sprinkled. If you think you don't like or you don't understand tentacles, start here and be surprised.
