This was really cute! I loved the communication between Rose and Gideon regarding sex and their wants and how he was able to help her break through when she was having a hard time trusting herself. I love the open dialogue around kinks and how it’s not shameful or wrong to have these desires. As long as everyone is a consenting adult there is nothing to be ashamed of and there needs to be more kink rep like that. I would have liked her to be a bit more mad at Gideon but that’s just me being spiteful by nature. The spice was great and the story was interesting. I am a cited to read the rest of the series.

Easy and cozy read with just enough stress/mystery to keep you interested. Every character is lovable enough that you wouldn’t mind reading a spin-off or two, except for the antagonist, whom you’d like to hit with a brick. Minorly triggering for all the people out there who’ve dealt with a shitty ex but otherwise a comfortable and satisfying story of a woman regaining her confidence. I even teared up a little. And did I mention the tentacles? Yeah.

Rose is a matchmaking witch who is just off of a devastating breakup from her supposed "perfect match." Gideon is an ancient kraken who is more magic than not and is hunting for treasure. Their sex is hot, tentacles and all, and their relationship is fantastic. I love them both. Also, I need Mace's story.

I loved this book so much! It was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Our extra appendages beau, Giddeon, is the sweetest possessive alpha male you'll ever meet. If you listen to the audible version, Nadia Day's performance is amazing but perhaps a little spicy around prying ears (but that's just the nature of this book). If you're looking for a new comfort read look no further than this sweet monster romance!
