This was such a fun way of reminding me of my favorite class in college.

The gods really suck don't they... While it was fun to revisit old and discover some new tales from the Greek Mythology, I also felt that the book kinda petered out in its second half, with stories that were less exciting.

An incredible undertaking.

Stephen Fry breathes life into these many myths, giving the characters dialogue and making these numerous stories much more digestible for the reader. What could have been a very meandering and confusing book was as concise as it could be considering the large subject matter. The audiobook is narrated by Stephen Fry himself which I enjoyed immensely.

Highly recommend if you love mythology and history, he weaves the two together through out the novel.

I am disappointed but I think it has more to do with the way I read it, all in a row. I think it would be best to read a myth a read or day

I’ve both read this and listened to the audiobook. I personally feel both are worth doing. Stephen Fry lends a theatrical narration in the audiobook, and his footnotes in the physical book are both informative and hilarious little tidbits. The myths are presented in a logical (and as chronological as possible) sequence. Definitely recommend for anyone with even a passing interest in Greek myths.
