Refreshing and clever storyline. Azar is an interesting mix of confidence and shyness at the same time. I really enjoyed the friendship dynamics between her and her bandmates. Overall a really cute and engaging read.

I was hopeful because I’d seen a review mentioning that the book has demisexual rep and the premise seemed fun, but I think it’s not for me. I found the frequent lyrics interrupting the story to be annoying. It didn’t help that the audiobook narrator would half sing/half speak the lyrics. I generally didn’t enjoy the narration. The plot wasn’t very believable, but if I had been enjoying the characters more it wouldn’t have been an issue.
