A good, heartwarming story that was perfect to read over the Christmas holiday.

I purchased this e-book last year and just getting around to reading it. Not my typical book; however, thought it would be nice to read around the holiday season.

Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy are three angels joined by Will-an angel-in-training. Their job is to help humans realize they can do more with God’s help; however, they are not to interfere (however, they tend to get involved). The four angels gather in Times Square for the ball drop at midnight.
A little silly; however very light read with a message. Lucie (chef) Aren (food critic) prepare for a new romance in the New Year. It is all about God’s timing with the help of some meddling angels.

I enjoy Debbie Macomber's book and have read several. This is the first book that I read that dealt with the angels Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy. As a quick, holiday read it is fine and if you are a huge fan of Macomber, I'm sure you will love the book; however, the story is very predictable and seems almost forced or rushed. It was not my favorite.

Note: I won this book in a first-reads giveaway.

I chose this book because I like to listen to Christmasy books. It fulfilled that, though barely. Debbie Macomber usually includes angels in her novels, and I found it interesting but overall a little TOO cheesy and hokey. It was entertaining, though, and not terrible writing. Just a mediocre story.

A sweet, sappy, light, and cozy Christmas romance featuring four mischievous angels. I enjoyed this read although it is definitely a Hallmark type of Christmas story! Not really realistic and definitely made for those who love and crave happy endings especially around holidays.

I really wanted to like this book more than I did. On the surface it should have had everything I wanted for a light afternoon read - a feel good book that didn't take it self seriously - whimsical, humorous and romantic. It did have all these things, but it still failed to engage me. I really liked the idea of the story, it moved at a good pace, but I felt nothing. It was an ok read, but not a book that I would read again although, I will try other books by this author.
