Sweet & charming.
One son realises how very lonely his uncomplaining & elderly parents are at Christmastime & decides to do something about it.
Christmas morning his parents get quite a surprise.
This story is so well written & filled my heart with love. Realistic Carol (as opposed to Sentimental Carol) knows that I would never have fallen in with Guy's suggestion if I was one of his siblings. But a truly delightful story all the same.

Slightly antiquated with some of its beliefs, but a heartwarming short story nonetheless that elegantly captures the feeling of going home for Christmas as an adult, which I will unfortunately not be able to do this year.
