I got really close to finishing this book (79% through) and it's not awful - it's just that there are almost 3 hours left and I don't have any interest in committing that time to this story. Perhaps it's because I waited too long between the first and second or perhaps I just lost interest because the chemistry is off. I just don't have a real attachment to any of the specific characters in this book.

Such an amazing book that follows Isolde and Adrian following Isolde’s coronation. This move and the love that has grown between the 2 means that Isolde has lost her father and the support of her homeland. The book follows how Adrian and Isolde deal with the growing problem that is the war between two goddesses who use both humans and vampires to try and get what they want. One of the main issues that they face is the blood mist which kills anyone that it touches.
Other key points is that after being bitten, Isolde develops the ability to transform into a huge dog.
The romance in this book is lovely and at times really shows the importance of communication between people.
The book also shows that we can not always trust what the history books say as they are written by the victor and may not actually represent what happens, as in the books the witches are portrayed as people that were evil and power hungry but through research, Isolde finds out this is not the case.

One of the main plot twists in this book is that one Isolde allows Adrian to drink her blood, she regains her memory of her future life, as Adrians lover, who was a which killed during the reign of the previous king

I loved the first book but this one was still extremely enjoyable. I think it could've been more, I expected to see more and felt like Adrian's POV could've had more depth, however I'm excited for the next book!
