I loved this book! Felt like she was having a conversation with me. This book was funny, and interesting with a unique way to tell her story.

I love Judy Greer. Even though she is always a co-star, if I see she is in a movie, it is a major selling point for me. However, I was a little less than impressed with this book. It had funny moments and I was interested to find out more about Judy (after reading the book I feel like we're on a first name basis), but it just didn't compare to books like Tina Fey's and Mindy Kaling's.

I love so many things that Judy has been in (especially 27 Dresses) I really enjoyed reading about her career from her point of view.

She is funny, gets to the point, and writes with emotion. Definitely recommend reading this whether you can remember what you've seen her in or not.

Cute. The early life chapters were sweet, and the quirkiness that so often infuses Greer's characters is evident in both her style and topics. A little goes a long way, though, and soon we're left wanting more. I don't begrudge anyone for whom success wasn't too much of a struggle, but it doesn't necessarily make for great narrative. Also, a chapter containing tributes from others on how great a friend you are is awkward at best.

audiobook note: Humorous memoirs are an exception to my usual preference that authors not read their own work. Greer is light and fun and obviously knows where she wants her comic beats. However, especially at the beginning, her reading is too fast, almost as if she is nervously rushing through a school report. She eases into a more natural pace, and frankly, I may not have finished without her easygoing chattiness.

This book was indeed a nice read, and I enjoyed it, but I wish it was a little more confessional, which is what it promised.
