A delicious blend of The Hunger Games and The Inheritance Games with a slight hint of Powerless/Red Queen... this book was so much more than I anticipated.

From the get go, the main character was very loveable and we were quickly introduced to her family situation - something I became invested in. The writing was very easy and comfortable to read and the dynamics of the characters was written incredibly well.

I espically loved the tense aspect of them trying to steal their targets whilst competing against each other - I really have nothing bad to say!

And the ending... oh my god. I thought we were done, and then another plot twist! Then another one! My mouth was quite literally on the floor and I had to pause, put the book down and process my stunned reaction in silence before I kept reading! I cannot WAIT to read the second one, I am so looking forward to it.

Sometimes I know exactly the type of book I want to read and it is a young-adult, Ocean's Eleven-inspired, fast-paced romp around the world where teenagers have millions to spend and heists are aplenty.

Book Two, I'm ready for you!

I loved this so much. Teenage thieves may be a bit of a niche story concept, but it read less like teenagers and more like adults olds who are only a little younger at heart.
A competition where thieves in training come together and try and win an ultimate prize, prove themselves and have some fun while trying.
Honestly, I can’t wait for the next book.
The characters were great, but I do think some of the motivations and emotions were a little over exaggerated (but only a little, and I understand they are technically teenagers, but sometimes it felt like flipping back and forth with teenager and adult mindsets and emotions).
Loved seeing the thieving challenges and dynamics between all the thieves.

This book was an adventurous and fun read. Ross, a thief, is entered into a competition run by a mysterious Organization that pits her against other young thieves trying to make their mark and win a wish.

There are plenty of heists and reveals throughout the book, but the question of trust and what is really valuable is central.

I won't reveal anything more but this story kept me reading to find out what happened next.

The only criticism I have is that there were a couple of times when plot points were not as well explained as I would have liked.

Overall a great read and I can't wait for the sequel.

I read this in pretty much one go. I could not stop reading!!! I got heists, I got fights, I got stressed out team dynamics, I got meaningful character arcs and twists and turns! I need a book 2 or I will riot! Also the writing is so visually cinematic I am not surprised they are making this into a film and I cannot wait to see it!

I finished this book and immediately requested book two because that cliff hanger might have ruined me for the entire year.

High stakes balanced beautifully comedy. Heist, puzzles, competitions- It was so much fun! If you loved the inheritance games and the hunger games (book one) you'll eat this book up!

Twelves teens competing to be recognized as the best thief of a new generation and win the prize of one wish, a wish for anything!
