Really neat story, and I enjoyed the art style a lot.

Amazing artwork and action scenes! The pacing seemed a little wonky and I would have liked more character development, especially between the two sisters. Overall, I really good start to a (hopefully) long series!

I found out about Nani’s Kickstarter from @bowtiesandbooks (instagram) and I had to back it. I just got the ebooks for the comic this month and went straight into it after a brief internal struggle on whether to wait for the physical release or not.
This comic is vibrant and beautiful. The colours are so gorgeous. I love the art style. Story wise the stakes are set high from the jump and stay that way throughout rest of the comic. I can’t honestly say I was surprised with the twist at the end BUT I was so caught up in the story that I forgot it was even a possibility. I stayed coiled to see what the sisters would do to get themselves out of this situation.
Speaking of the sisters, the relationship between Mina and Lamin honestly made me a bit jealous. They were wholesome and loving even when arguing but I feel like there’s something hidden under there that might come out later on.
I’m hyped to read Volume 2 but I don’t want to open it yet cause that’ll mean that’s it until the next volume comes out.
