I inhaled this book... Just like all her others. I actually wanted it to be a bit longer so she could have developed Kate and Wes's relationship a bit more. The reason for the 4 stars and not five is that it felt a little choppy and the above suggestion would have helped that.

But otherwise this was a great story.

This was magical realism done right. It was a quick read, with a likable cast of characters, and a satisfying ending. I can’t wait to read more of this authors works

I just drink her books... Her writing is beyond magical, and I envy her mastery of poetic prose. I can't help but smile when I meet her characters and I can't say that about too many books... I even liked Selma.

Such a beautiful story, I loved it. I loved the cast of this book, seeing how all the characters grew. Buhladeen, Selma, Eby, Lisette, Kate were all incredible women who came into their own. Lost Lake couldn’t help but remind me of my own summer vacations, of places that I been that have turned out to be special, of last bests.

The least magically realistic from all Sarah Addison Allen's books I have read so far.
But as always easy to read and had a bunch of cute secondary characters. But sadly I never connected to the heroine and her story felt pretty bland to me.

Beautiful book with sad tinges. Allen weaves a beautiful spell.

This book took me by surprise! Definitely not the typical "fall" read for most, but it gave my brain a break from fantasy with this cozy mystical story. Honestly, it's cute and a great in-between book for anyone looking to slow things down and appreciate the little things. I absolutely adored this book! Not to mention this is one of my favorite authors ever.
