I finished reading the "His Dark Materials" series about 2 months ago. Reading this short book really made me giddy! I was so excited to hear the familiar names. And
Spoilerthe haunting, eerie,
evil that is Ms. Coulter
was a nostalgic, familiar feeling.

An interesting story but altogether too short for it to leave any real impression on me.

This is a very dark, gothic addition to the growing His Dark Materials lore, but leaves you with more questions than answers.

Lovely short story, read by the perfect voice, IMHO Bill Nighy was born to read "slightly sooky supernaturalish" tales

There's lots left to the readers imagination here, I'd love to know more of the tales and travels of the objects. Though maybe the shortness of the tale is part of the appeal

Quick, atmospheric read, and a cool glimpse back into the world of His Dark Materials. Really made me want to reread the whole series.
