This book beats the “poc white people hate you/disregard you” drum so loud I’m deafened. This is the kind of diatribe, that started at 1% of the book, and contributed each time a minority was introduced that makes kids think of themselves as being seen as less while masking as “I see your struggles POC,” and “I’m calling out those terrible whites!” This does not resolve the problems, creates new problems, and makes youth feel like everything is against them because of melanin. This is not something my multiracial family can support. It is sickening.
