I would definitely recommend this book to reluctant older readers, as it reads more like a wordless graphic novel than a picture book.

I read this one a couple of times just to make sure I had noticed all the details. It took me a while to figure out that the cats are ghosts! It probably wouldn't take children reading it as long to figure that part out. I definitely enjoyed the story, though. Poor Bow-Wow!
