Bree and Nathan are so perfect together and I loved how they cared about eachother esp with Nathan's mental health issues (so good, we need more men suffering in romance).
Adams is so good at writing closed-door romances, in comparison to other books it really doesn't feel like you miss much. The Big Emotions we often get in smut scenes are just put somewhere else here and I loved those scenes just as much!
Disclaimer about why I gave 4 stars: there is some girl-on-girl hate (which almost comes with the territory with the boy-girl-besties thing) and Bree is a bit pick-me at times. But it's not as bad as other books I've read, just a teeny bit annoying.

Moderate: Injury/Injury detail and Car accident

Bree and Nathan have been best friends since high school, but never attempted to be anything more. Now, Nathan is an NFL star and Bree owns a dance studio, and they seem destined to be only friends forever. But when a drunken Bree declares her feelings to a TMZ reporter and they’re thrust into a fake dating arrangement, everything between them may just be about to change.
I ADORED THIS BOOK. I tend to really enjoy sports romances, but friends-to-lovers can be hit or miss for me, and thankfully this one was a gigantic hit. Nathan and Bree were absolutely perfect together, and the story was cute, sweet, and funny the entire way through. It also made perfect sense to me why neither of them made a move earlier in their friendship, and the development of their relationship felt natural and fairly relatable (maybe having a TMZ reporter film you in a bathroom is less relatable, but who’s to say?!)
It’s pretty rare that I fall for the cinnamon roll hero, but I was messaging all my friends at twenty pages into this book telling them how much I love Nathan Donelson and my feelings only got stronger as the book went on. He’s absolute perfection, and landed himself a spot VERY close to the top of my list of perfect book boyfriends.
I could go on, but really you should just read The Cheat Sheet yourself. If you want an absolutely adorable rom-com that is closed door but with LOTS of chemistry, this is the book for you!
Recommended to anyone, but especially if you like: sports romance; friends-to-lovers; cinnamon roll heroes
CW: Panic attacks/mental health; mentions of car accident/injury (off-page)

Moderate: Car accident and Injury/Injury detail

I don’t have much else to say about this book, but I will say that it was a lot of fun to see how close Bree and Nathan were, and watch that close friendship turn into a romance. Also, he is the biggest cinnamon roll and a complete simp for her, and I’m HERE FOR IT. That is simply the best kind of love interest and I can’t be convinced otherwise.
Representation:
- achillean side character
Moderate: Alcohol, Emotional abuse, Panic attacks/disorders, Injury/Injury detail, and Mental illness
Injury: Bree was in a car accident prior to the story and hurt her knee. Emotional abuse: Nathan experiences it from his parents, particularly his mother. Mental illness: Bree mentions previously having depression and panic attacks, and it’s implied that Nathan has some form of anxiety. He has a couple of panic attacks in the second half of the book.
