A good short story to keep up with the characters. I love novellas where we see a glimpse in the future like this one.

I love Gil and Maggie together, and this was cute, but I wish it were a little longer. Nice to have a glimpse of their life together after they've committed to each other.

This is a solid *four and a half stars,* just to be clear. YES, I was drawn in by the TERRIBLE title to see what kind of book this was, and it surprised me by being very literary fiction for a romance novel. Which was *good*, since although romance novels aren't quite as formulaic as non-romance readers think, I myself had lately been noticing some formulaic tendencies even within my favorite romance writers. *Missionary Position* is ridiculously smart and presents as a novel with romance elements, rather than a romance novel, I suppose. I *LOVED* it--I learned about Africa, and art auctions, and Amsterdam, and really felt for these well-rounded characters when they finally got together. This is a refreshingly adult romance novel,if you've been a bit bored by your romances lately; it is NOT as trashy as the title would lead you to believe (and YES, the title caught me eye!!!), is in fact classy and literary and almost not a romance novel at ALL, with all if the other things going on with it. Highly recommended, really wanted to give it five stars but there are a few TSTL (To Stupid To Live) moments on the heroine's side that I just can't forgive, and keep this from being a completely satisfying read.
