Fun camaraderie, the relationships get more layers each volume. Can we get a monster girl as well though? Or at least let Liz not be the damsel, she is a human flamethrower.

Once again Mignola seems to be testing out new writers and artists with his creations; some work with the material better than others. These are more one-shots and random shorts but are still a great collection of stories from the background of the B.P.R.D./Hellboy universe. And they do inform what the series will later become, which is sort of a longer in-between story that deepens all the background Hellboy characters while Hellboy himself is on hiatus.

It still feels like BPRD is lacking something Hellboy had in spades - I'm not sure if it's the loss of Mignola or what.

Really enjoy the art style, but a couple of the shorter stories didn't do much for me. I know it kicks into gear with the next volume.
